Here are some of our favorite trails and locations for offroad jeep adventure.

  • The Rubicon Jeep Trail Off Road Drive - You've reached the point of no return once you've come to the Rubicon. If any trail could be considered the ultimate in the world of offroad, it's this one. The terrain is rough beyond your wildest dreams... rocky and steep, up to 7000 feet. An adventurer could spend days traveling the trail, and many groups organize to tackle it as a team.
  • Moab, Utah - This city is a modern-day mecca for offroad enthusiasts. Jeep owners flock to the site for adventure of all kinds. There are so many trails that it would be impossible to list them all, but some of our favorites are Potash Road, which features dinosaur tracks, anciant indian rock art, and an arch on te way to the starting point. Poison Spider Mesa is also noteworthy since it's easy to combine with the Golden Spike and Gold Bar Rim.
  • The Southern Colorado Rockies - There's enormous potential for offroad adventure in the Rockies. There are trails fit for all difficulty levels here, and so much scenic beauty. A good place to start might be Animas Forks, which isn't necissarily a rough trail itself, but is a crossroads for a number of trails that are. You might want to take Picayune Gulch to get there, as it is definitely the more interesting route to Animas Forks. In addition, it's the site of a popular ghost town, full of eerie old construction left over from the days of the miners. From here, it's either up California Gulch, up Mineral Point, or over Cinnamon Pass.
